After selecting the Company Target, the screen above will appear. If a key result has been added to the target before, it will appear on the Key Results screen at the bottom of the screen. If we are going to add a new key result to our Target, the + button in the upper right corner will be selected and the Key Result Adding screen will open.
On the key result adding screen, the Target name will automatically appear for the target to which the Key Result will be added. After writing the key result name and description, we select from the list whether our key result will be hidden or visible. The user is automatically entered as the user logged into the system, but we can change it here by selecting the usernames you have authorization for from the list. In the Team section, if there is a team that the Target is affiliated with, it would be a good decision to choose a team here. If there is a project that the target is connected to, we can select it from the list.
A metric is a quantitative indicator used to measure the success of a goal. In OKRs, key results are usually expressed in metrics. These metrics are used to measure how close the goals are to being achieved or to what extent the goals are being achieved. Metrics should be concrete and measurable so that progress can be clearly tracked. The metric units used in OKRs can vary depending on the type of goals and industry. We have 3 options in the unit list: Numerical, Percentage and Logical.
To give an example,
Numerical; Number, piece, Increasing production to 8500 pieces,
Logical; Rate, "If the error rate is 5%, train the staff"
Percentage; Growth rate, completion rate, "Increase website traffic by 30%"
Start value and End value; The value of the key result is usually accepted as zero (0) at the beginning, and the complete result is selected as One Hundred (100), but the user can adjust the metric value here as desired and evaluate the progress status.
We can add or change the weights of our Key Results by selecting the weight management button from the top right menu. We must make sure that the total of the weights is 100.
The check-in process is done at regular intervals (usually weekly or biweekly). We adjust the progress bar according to the completion rate and select its status from the list. If we want to add any documents or write a description for check-in, we can do so on this screen.
Next to the Check in tab is the Check in history tab, where we can see all the Check in history of the relevant key result, who made it, when it was made and its status.
Next to each Key result there are Edit and Delete buttons next to the Check in button.
We can update our Key result with the Edit Button. We can update the name of the Key result, its visibility, responsible user, team, project, metric definitions and make changes to its description.
Delete button, we can delete the Key result.
